What is a worldview?

It can be said to be any assumptions that can either be true, somewhat true, or completely false. Normally, we hold these assumptions consistently or inconsistently, consciously or subconsciously, they explain the simple make-up of this world. It is my basic belief that each one of us in this world is created equal; therefore, not even a single individual is innately greater or inferior to another (Sheen, 2009). And with this in mind, my conviction is that our circumstances of birth cannot determine our mark or value.

How my worldview influences me as an educator

It is apparent my worldview preaches equality. My role as a teacher is to mentor my class; this is something I will impart to them by ensuring they imitate every time since I will be treating everybody equal and with dignity. Generally, it has been observed that children have that capability of giving much of their efforts in a collective activity or even when they are guided by adults (Rosenkranz, 1999).

As an educator, this kind of worldview will always demand or shape how I manage my classrooms to maximize my students’ participation. Furthermore, any questions I ask students in my class will be influenced by my worldview and most importantly I will ensure the assessments they do must be in conformity with my belief. I have a strong belief that, these approaches will ensure my class develop required content and skills based on my conviction.  Through such approaches, my students will always be free and happy when dealing with their peers, irrespective of the race, religion, gender and so on (Rost, 2005). This will restore sanity in the world, thereby; I can conclude that sound body and sound minds are a formidable combination.

In my opinion, education should emphasize both on moral and intellectual virtues with equal measures. As tutors, we should all monitor the physical, mental, spiritual and n and moral development and progress of our students. Actually, it helps in rediscovering ultimate worldviews that can end up changing our world completely, and at some point making it a better place than we found it. But this equality can be achieved when we espouse the fact that we are all equal in the eyes of God and also, God is the creator of all mankind, He created mankind in His own image (Sheen, 2009).  Worth noting is the fact that, each our intellectual cultures and society will remain injurious without appropriate moral and religious guidance. This is so because people who are young and not accustomed to respect God are unable to withstand the limitation of a virtuous way of life will always succumb to incite of disturbing the public order (Rost, 2005).

In the Bible (1 Sam. 10:10-13), we read Samuel travelling from place to another as a teacher.  He founds the first school in the Bible; this was a school of prophets. Samuel conscripted and taught young men that later went out taught and counteracted the threat of idolatry that had spread like wildfire. In equal measure, my students will always advocate for human equality,

Conclusion

Moral and religious guidance is indispensable to moulding of a complete person. Therefore, my worldview should also unanimously be adopted as an elementary subject matter and taught in schools to promote human equality. With these teachings, the students will grow up knowing how vital everyone in the world can be. Moreover, Sanity and respect for humanity will be tremendously restored in the world.
